ColorAuto’s Paint Correction Process
Paint correction is the art of transforming your vehicle’s appearance by restoring the paintwork to its original glory. Our expert team at ColorAuto understands the importance of a flawless finish, which is why we employ advanced techniques and top-quality products to eliminate swirl marks, scratches, and imperfections from your car’s paint surface.
1 – Pre-Wash Inspection
We begin with a thorough assessment of the vehicle’s paint condition, noting any imperfections such as swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation that need addressing.
2 – Wash & decontamination
We start by performing a meticulous two-bucket wash using a pH-neutral shampoo to remove dirt, grime, and other surface contaminants. Then, follow up with a chemical decontamination using an iron remover and clay bar treatment to eliminate embedded contaminants.
3 – Paint Correction
Conduct paint correction using dual-action or rotary polishers along with appropriate compounds or polishes to eliminate swirl marks, scratches, and other defects, restoring the paint’s gloss and clarity.
4 – Application Of Paint Protection
Apply the chosen paint protection product, which could be a ceramic coating, paint sealant, or paint protection film (PPF). Use specialized applicators to evenly spread the product onto the paint surface, working in small sections to ensure thorough coverage.
5 – Final Inspection
Once the coating has cured, a final inspection is conducted to ensure that the paint protection has been applied correctly and evenly. Any remaining residue or imperfections are addressed, and the vehicle is given a final wipe-down to remove any fingerprints or smudges.
6 – Customer Education
Before the customer takes possession of the vehicle, the detailing technician will provide instructions on how to maintain the paint protection and maximize its lifespan. This could include tips on washing, drying, and maintaining the coating to preserve its durability and appearance.
